Hruška a Krys was established in 2008 by film director Tatiana/Tania Detkina. In 2014 artist Petr Philippov joined.
Initially it was assumed that the company will be engaged in author-driven and experimental film production, the first film produced was a documentary “The Theory of Education and Uliyana”, a debut by Alexander Gorelik. The film was nominated for the Laurel Film Award.
From 2013 to 2018 the Domkino.cz in Prague workshop for novice Russian-speaking directors and producers willing to offer their projects on the European co-production market was the main source of inspiration for us.
Since 2018 Hruška a Krys has been working as a production company.

About us
Tatiana [also Tania] Detkina
ProducerTania was born in 1964 in Moscow, Russia. During her studies at Moscow Institute of Architecture (state academy), she became fascinated with media art and has graduated from the NewMediaArtLab workshop with a Grand Prix.
Since 1999 she has been working in film and tv production. In 2004, Tatiana graduated from the directors’ faculty of VKSiR. Her films have been shown at Les Premiers Plans Festival in Angers, at the Berlinale Forum, and have received awards at Oberhausen, Split and Ashdod international film festivals.
After 2006 Tania was not able to work under her name as a director in Russia and worked as a script editor and writer on other projects. In 2008 she left Russia and founded her company, Hruška a Krys [The Pear and The Rat] in the Czech Republic.

Petr Philippov
ArtistPetr Filippov was born in 1973 into a family of artists.
He graduated from the “Krasnopresněnskaja” art school in Moscow. Since 1990 he has been working as a graphic designer in the Moscow bus depot #5 In the early 1990s, together with Mikhail Uchov and Stas Shuripa, he led the group "Uranium Project'' (Hooray! New Project).
In collaboration with the ABC Gallery took part in the Art-Moscow, “Universam” art fair and art fairs in Vienna and Stockholm.
In the years 2008 - 2010 Petr worked for the Expert magazine as an illustrator.
In 2013 the artist moved to Prague and studied 2 years at SCHOLASTIKA Art School, Petr Filippov lives and works in the Czech Republic
